I had just finished a course in Basic Photography under late Mr. T Kasinath and was posted at Srinagar in Kashmir valley. Upon reaching there I bought a Brand new Nikon camera. The dealer gifted me a Kodachrome 25 ASA film. Soon after I had the opportunity to fly to Ladakh. It was my first encounter with a color slide film and the landscapes of Leh. I used the entire film in Leh and areas around. I sent the film to Bombay for processing. I was absolutely surprised when a Printer purchased 15 TPs and used 12 of them and brought out a color table calendar. They were all landscapes. Leh is therefore my first choice for Landscape photography.
My second choice would be the deserts of Rajasthan, India.
My third choice would the beautiful mountainscapes of the Kinnaur, the tribal belt of Himachal Pradesh, India

Ocean City NJ (USA) is one of my favorite places to photograph. I love the ocean and the sand. The peace of just being on the beach is amazing. This shot was taken on Jan. 2 2012. During the winter months the sun comes up between the pilings of this old worn pier. 59th St. Pier Ocean City NJ

Without a doubt I will pick Yosemite National Park. Have been there, done that and will do it again. I don't think any camera can capture all of the beauty there. However it is always great to try

This photo was taken just outside of Beaufort, SC. It is the subdivision boat dock for a residental planned community of lowcountry style homes and is one of my favorite places to shoot. Sunrise and sunset shots here are spectacular. I have several shots of the same scene on my website.

My favorite landscape location of late is an old abandoned mill site. The water fall there is lovely but it is on private property so I have been unable to spend a lot of time there.
Yosemite National Park, California, USA

This is probably one of the most photogenic locations I have ever visited. However, I recommend that you visit the park in other than the summer vacation period (Mid-June to early September). During the summer, Yosemite is crowded to capacity and the pristine atmosphere is spoiled. Spring time also usually results in the waterfalls being fuller and more attractive...

Zion National Park. I live 30 miles from this national treasure and love to take my camera to the park. If you get a chance to travel this part of the world make sure to spend plenty of time in Zion. Bryce Canyon National Park and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon are both nearby as well. Make sure you plan your photograhpy around the golden hours and enjoy
