-new camera bag (call it $100–must hold one body + lens, 2 separate lenses, one off camera flash, and all the other detritus [filters, sd cards, etc] that photography requires)
-nifty 50 prime lens ($100)
-hopefully the shop has some Cactus radio triggers–3 transceivers to start ($100)
-a new fully manual speedlite. Ideally LP 160, but i’d probably have to get a more expensive canon version from the store, say $300
-With $400 left, I’d look at light modifiers, lenses, whatever else I could get.

Well, It would have to be the Nikon D300s although Id still be $396 Short + Lens…
There is absolutly no other camera that comes close to all my need.
Since my only means of income to survive has been selling photos. It would have to
be that one!

Spent just under a grand today at adorama (online)..

I went with a

Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 (non vc) – $459
Canon 430 EX II (plus diffuser, batteries and battery charger) – $287.78
Canon BG E2N Battery grip (for my 40D – LOVE my 40D) – $136.95

+ $53 shipping to Canada

Total $956.63

Taxes etc? Will probably push it to if not over a grand
