If you change shutter speed you either induce or allow movement. 

If you change aperture you increase or decrease Depth of Field.

If you change ISO you may induce noise depending on your camera. 

The key to getting a good exposure is to anchor one of these then work round it.  So if I want to throw a background out of focus I use a large aperture (small &#039;f&#039; number) which lets in more light so IU need a higher shutter speed and lower ISO. 

All three are relative to each other!
