Merry Christmass Dan, what I have gained from this forum is each time I get email from the site it makes me think about using my camera for much more than I would have.
It keeps me on track and makes me experiment and use the features that my nikon coolpix 8800 has and get off auto.
I am sure most camera buyers find it hard to understand the manual that comes with the camera so when you guys give tips I go and try them out with my manual at hand , I have leaned heaps from just understanding the jargon.
I have also learned heaps on the photoshop tips, I have even played with one of the “critique my shot” images and I was very happy with what I did.
thanks so much to everyone for their input I am hoping some day to have something worthwhile to contribute but for now I am sucking it all in ,Looking forward to more and more learning and experimenting.
