I have this camera and it is amazing! not just the built-in projector either. The 12.1 megapixels is absolutely fantastic, and all the features really do make it very convenient for the exact type of picture you want. Maybe not for. This camera isn’t just about the projector! Even without it, it would be fantastic!

you could not expect much from this device because of form factor. how can you put in 1000 lumens even half into this compact camera? at least the nikon people managed to implement a built-in projector in this device and for me this is one breakthrough.

I would rather carry video cable and link to TV or monitor if / when i want to share the moment with people. like that idea of innovation but ~~ too much is just too much …

how about putting a cell phone function into a camera ?

Camera has addapted low pix camera into handset, so why not putting a cell phone into DSLR ?

I can see the potential … travelers being able to show locals the pictures, townhall meetings where the audience can show images to back up what is being asked, user groups of any sort. Yes, battery power is an issue, image quality is an issue, but for a first step… fantastic!

Cool concept, I could see it being fun on trips. Unfortunately with only 10 Lumen output you’ll need a really dark room or for it to be night before the image would be crisp and visible since larger projectors are around 1000 to 2000 Lumens.

I like the innovative idea … it’s gonna have a lot of issues, like not bright enough, low resolution, etc – but i think this is a good move by Nikon. Looking forward to see an actual demo … wow … 40″ … i think at 10 Lumens, you will need a really dark room …
