Right after seeing these online, i was babysitting and saw that they had put one up in the little girl's room. It was adorable, they had photos, drawings, and her parent's phone numbers all strung up and it looked great!
I want some!

My 8 year old daughter saw this while I was looking at the article and wanted one for her room. We went to the local hardware store and were out the door for about $7 in parts ($4.79 of which was a 10 pack of magnets). It looks great hanging on her wall and she is excited to go take more pictures to be able to change them out regularly. We'll definately be making more, but I'm going to find an online source for the magnets to keep the costs down.

I purchased these for some college freshmen who used them to brighten up their dorm rooms. This was a perfect way to display photos without having to use tape on the walls - a HUGE no-no in dorms!

I have one of these but only because I won it in a Photojojo contest on instructables.com. I never would have paid $12 for it, the total price of the photo rope weight and the magnets wouldn't be much over $4 (mostly the price of the magnets). It is a neat idea but I like to put my pictures on the corners of the walls with magnets. You can do this because the corners of my walls have metal in them, you should try that before buying these.

I am always am getting more and more frames to hang up pictures on my walls... They are full of pictures. I am going to have to buy them. They really aren't that expensive if you think about quality and how many pictures they hold. An average 4x6 picture frame is about 2 bucks... times 8, which is how much the magnet holds, is 16 when the magnets are only 12 dollars. I can't wait to order some. Thanks DPS!

I wonder about picture curl over time? Has anyone dealt with that. Also mine would have to be high enough that small children do not ingest the magnets.

The magnetic rope is an excellent idea. It would be perfect for my office at school. I occasionally take pictures of my students either at their school activities or outside activities. They like seeing themselves on my photo wall.
