Macro Photography Guide – Special Discount Offer
Here’s a special discount offer for DPS readers who are just looking at getting into Macro Photography.
A long term sponsor of this site has been the team at Profitable Photography (a learning resource for those wanting to make money from their photography).
Many DPS readers have bought it (for under around $37 it is a good introduction to the topic) but this week the Profitable Photography creator, Roy Barker, has released a new report/ebook – the Macro Photography Guide.
Roy emailed me a couple of days back with an offer to discount this book for DPS readers. Instead of the normal $25 price tag listed here he has put together a page especially for DPS readers where you can get it for $18.
This is an ebook written with the beginner Macro Photographer in mind. If you’re experienced in the field it is probably not for you.
The ebook/report covers these 11 areas:
- What is Macro Photography?
- Macro Photography on a Budget
- Macro Photography for Beginners
- Macro Photography Equipment
- Technical Factors
- Advanced Macro Photography
- Trouble Shooting
- Macro Photography for Bugs and Insects
- Macro Photography and Flowers
- Macro Photography and Jewelry
- Commercial Uses of Macro Photography
Again – this is not pitched at the expert photographer – it’s ideal for those at the beginning of their Macro Photography journey. To check it out and get your discounted copy check it out here.

thanks for this. I just ordered a copy and while I’ve ‘played’ a little at taking Macro shots this has inspired and informed me to really do it a lot better. The discount was appreciated too – thanks!

Has anybody gotten this and read through it already? Is it a worthwhile investment, or would googling those questions pretty much give you the same info?

I just finished reading this. It is exactly what Darren says. It is for the beginner. I consider myself a beginner but I already knew most of the content. The lighting options was very informative for me. There were a lot a great photos but no details on how each was taken and with what equipment.

Hi guys,
I tried to follow the links on this page to get the ebook and they are all dead-ending for me. Something I’m doing or a glitch? Any help would be welcome. Thanks

Augustine – perhaps it was a temporary glitch – they all seem to be working for me.

Thanks so much for this tip, Darren! I have also just purchased this & guess I’m more of a beginner than beth . . . I agree that it could have had a bit more technical advice, but it definitely has plenty of info to make my macro shots more productive & enjoyable!! The photos alone are tremendous inspiration
