		<description>How might this apply if the portaits are done in an outdoor setting?  Do you just try to match the setting to the decor on a basic level and still have them dress/accessorize accordingly?

My interest is commercial/promotional photography (yes, to include publicity shots.)  Might the same rules come into play?

Great tips.  I had never given this any thought!

		<description>Great idea and nicely written and illustrated.  I always told my clients to dress in solid colors that would look well together, but I never thought, or previously heard, of the idea of matching colors and styles for the location where the portrait would hang.  Of course, since I only do photography for my own fun and pleasure now I guess that other than our own family photo it may be too late for me.</description>
