I have had nothing but issues with this printer. The first quit working and Dymo sent me another. The ink cartridges are my biggest issue. I purchased another new cartridge and printed 9 Cd's and the printer sat for two months and the cartridge was dry. With the cost of ink cartridges, I might as well have my CD's professionally silk screen printed. I would never purchase another and will tell those in the industry to not purchase this printer unless. I am truely dissapointed.

Sometimes it works great other times it does not print. When I open up the utility window, it says that th=it is rendering the image, but nothing happens. Today I printed about 20 dvd labels, then this happened.
t has happened before without any rhyme or reason.

The Dymo Discpainter is bad. Even though they have a Windows 7 64 bit version of the software, I could not get it to work correctly. I tried it on two PC's with no luck. The graphics were wavy. The colors on the printed disc did not look, as sharp as the on screen design. The program hangs and won't allow you to close it without restarting your computer. DO NOT BUY THE DYMO DiscPainter.

The Dymo Disc painter Stinks.
I used it on my pc and after 12 prints it will only give me a line of droplets.
I then used it on the Mac and installed their new Drivers. And it proceeded to spit ink out all over everything.
I went to call the tech support and all the phone numbers are incomplete on their web site so I e-mail them and they told to reinstall the drivers. And that didn't work so now I’m stuck with 280 dollar piece of junk.
And it's not even big enough to use as a boat anchor.

We bought this printer for my Church. Out of the box it didn't work. I had to send back to Dymo. After 2 weeks they send me the same printer back less all the parts (Ink cart., power cord, etc.) They told me that it was a new one. After my complaint and another 2 or 3 weeks I finally got a new printer. Believe it or not, this one worked and has been working for several months. I am not impressed with the print quality but it will suffice for what we need. I would advise staying away from this one. Dymo support is terrible and the printer itself is not that hot.

I just brought this printer and i printed 80 copies of a mixed cd and im not going to brag and say its the best quality BUT it looks great! No regrets buying the discpainter at all! Easy simple set up, No dry time needed.

belinda,
had a similar issue. I have been printing with the Japanese Taiyo Uden discs. When I print a single layer DVD, the print is wavy. When I print a cd or a dual layer DVD, it comes out really straight and clear. I think it has something to do with how centered the hole in the disc is. The results were the same each time.

msq100 - It does say that right on Dymo's front page...

"DiscPainter works on Windows XP, Vista 32 bit, OS 10.3/10.4/10.5/10.56. It does not work on Vista 64 bit of OS 10.55"

The printer works fine, maybe you need a new monitor so you can read the compatibility spec next time, before purchasing?
