I started using Photoshop and have been happy. Does anyone have a comment or their own experiences about using Photoshop? Yes, I am new and my pictures are basic in composition and light use. Thanks for reading and commenting- Have a great week!

I share photos regularly on fb. Wish I had a photoblog; just got back from a trip to Chicago and got some lovely shots I wish I could share somewhere other than fb. My friends might be tired of seeing them!

Facebook is my theatre of choice for the moment. I upload a few new images every week into a folder cleverly named "new uploads'. Nobody wants to go through the same images week after week just to look at something fresh so I put it out for comment and archive it the next week. In reality FB is a pretty safe environment for a rookie. If people hate it they don't comment, if they like it they are polite, and occasionally I get some constructive commentary from the more talented/practiced people on my list. I tried a weekly photo contest but it lacked constructive criticism... a simple Vote for every image you liked and let the tally tell the story. I didn't learn much.
This site is a gem. I learn a lot, I practice what I've read and expect myself to keep working up the ladder of proficiency. Thank you for helping it happen.

Currently, I only share my photos on FaceBook under my profile.

My family photos are restricted to my family to view.

My other photos are viewable by every FaceBook account user.

Following a shoot, I'll select a representative shot or two for online posting. I post first to my site/blog then copy the link to my Facebook business page. In turn, that FB post populates to my personal page. Utilizing the social network, my friends, family and others see my content in their daily “Top News” or “Most Recent” reading. Either way, a click through brings readers directly to my blog. So far, it’s worked very well and my viewer ship has increased over the last 45 days.

I have been using ShutterCal since November. I find that the exercise of posting an 'image of the day' keeps my creative juices flowing.
