Thanks for this wonderful article. One other thing is that almost all digital cameras are available equipped with any zoom lens so that more or less of that scene to be included by simply ‘zooming’ in and out. All these changes in target length tend to be reflected inside the viewfinder and on large display screen at the back of the particular camera.

What is happening to Canon’s A series? It’s a pity that manual controls have been dropped on all of them. Is the A590 IS the last A series camera with manual controls?

I don’t like cameras that donh’t have the optical viewfinder. Canon and Sony were the last to keep them. Looks like I will have to change to Sony for my point-n-shoots.

hmm, so i guess everybody is now jumping on the bandwagon of “extreme” cameras that olympus has been putting out for years.

yep, I also don’t understand why they are releasing so many similar cameras. Except D10. Should be good for snorkeling and shallow water scuba diving, as all water proof cases take too much space in my backpack

I never understood why they feel the need to have SO many different SDXXX options. It seems like most of them are almost identical!
