Its a big jump from my previous camera Canon 400D. I am impressed with the quality of photos that it produce. For the time being,I will use it more on taking still photos rather than video. I have a Canon G9, but no lense collection to worry about yet, so this choice seems imperative. I am keen to be a food stylist and fashion photagrapher after study. Thanks in advance. After researching 5D Mark II and Nikon D700 I went with D700. I got kind of fed up with Canon. All of my old flashes would not work with this new Canon. So I would need to buy everything new again. It made more sense for me to go with Nikon. I would not buy something like SLR from anybody that is not authorized retailer.
