As this post shows there are alot of things to take into consideration when shooting at the beach. If one lives in a beach city with a decent population size and a significant tourist population a photographer could develop niche of exclusively doing beach photography. I live in Orange County in Southen California and I believe the popluation here is large enough to support such a niche.
