For as long as i can remember, gender was not an issue in assessing a good photographer. While some models are more comfortable with one or the other gender of photographer, and that may have an effect on the photographs, for most photography, other than people, it matters not a whit. Both genders have both good and not so good photographers in their number, so I do not see the relevance of this survey, except for the marketing gurus working for camera companies. However, one thing I've noticed is that while women often get interested in and become good at many forms of purely artistic photography, men (who may also do art stuff, like I do) are much more likely to do photojournalism than the ladies. Maybe guys get more into carrying tons of gear (two-plus cameras with big lenses and external flash modules and battery packs, etc) and rushing around pretending to be important, or maybe women are turned off by the more aggressive approach it requires. Male.
