Today as I was pulling together some images for this weekend’s photo challenge (on the them of ‘Shadows’ – I’ll officially launch it later today) I found so many cool images that touched on the theme that I thought I’d pull them together into an image collection. I hope they give a little inspiration and a few ideas on how to tackle the challenge this weekend.

I was experimenting with shadows, without actually having shadows, and drew the shadow directly on the backdrop (which is my computer monitor) in illustrator.

I like the shadow boxer image, great background, and also the guy with a shovel and the great orange sky.
A recent bride-groom shadow shot I made in between actual real shots:

sun blasting thru snow covered trees (my dub) by Paulo Brandao is what i like to call a “wallhanger”! amazing!
September 16th, 2010 at 5:35 am
i must say this is interesting, because looking at the pictures, i wouldn’t ahve noticed the shadows very much if not for the title of this topic.
knowing that the photos are there specially for the photos makes me pay extra attention to it and it makes me realised how such a subtle thing influences the whole mood of a picture. this is somehing i’ll take note when taking shots in the future.
